Finally Jedox disclosed the roadmap release the new version 3.0 of its open source suite ( details.) Although previously announced as available, the truth is that what is available today for download on your site only includes the Memory Stick in OLAP engine in the version 3.0 and other important components, especially Worksheet- Server, in versions prior to this release. Additionally this is a trial download for 30 days or Commercial Enterprise version that includes components that are not available on the free version.
Also available on the website Jedox Community version is free but unfortunately or source code which must be compiled on the target platform, a task reserved only for advanced technical users.
certainly Bi Suite 3.0 will be talking about because one of its components, Worksheet-Server, which converts any Excel application in a 100% web application, which until now was only available by paying several thousand euros license, also happens to be Open Source. Worksheer-Server allows an end user to develop complex interfaces with zero planning and course code is the preferred interface to access multidimensional Palo powerful engine. A major advance in WSS 3.0 is that its interface is Ajax and become a real Excel on the web but multidimensional and dynamic capabilities.
The real version of Palo BI Suite 3.0 will be available in beta for July 1, 2009 and is expected to release candidate to September 1, 2009. Here is a breakdown of the components to be included in this distribution
